In February 2011, the biological monitoring business of ConFirm Monitoring Systems was sold to Crosstex International, a subsidiary of Cantel Medical Corp. (NYSE: CMN). Crosstex, a recognized global leader in the manufacturing and distribution of infection prevention and control products, acquired this business to compliment it's leadership position in sterilization packaging. Their patent-pending Sure-Check sterilization pouches with internal/external Class 4 multi-variable indicators meet the 2008 CDC guidelines. This patent-pending technology validates the three variables required for proper steam sterilization - temperature, for a specified period of time and presence of steam. If any one of these variables do not occur, the internal indicator will not change color.
