ConFirm™ 10 In-Office System Meets Requirements for
Steam Sterilizers in Less Than Half the Time

Hauppauge, New York - April 28, 2011 - Crosstex International, a subsidiary of Cantel Medical Corp (NYSE: CMN), is proud to introduce a breakthrough solution that makes it faster and easier to meet the increasingly stringent requirements for biological monitoring of steam sterilizers in dental practices: ConFirm™ 10, the first in-office system that delivers results in just 10 hours.

The simple-to-use ConFirm 10 system includes everything needed for effective in-office biological monitoring of sterilizers. Indicators containing bacterial spores are processed in a normal sterilizer cycle, then placed in the ConFirm 10 incubator. Easy-to-read results are available for recording in just 10 hours. Previous systems required incubation for at least 24 hours to obtain results.

Industry guidelines in both the U.S. and Canada now stipulate that healthcare professionals verify the performance of their sterilizers with biological monitoring more frequently, explained Andrew Whitehead, Crosstex Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "Weekly monitoring is currently recommended in 48 U.S. states," he said. "The provinces of Alberta and Ontario in Canada now require daily biological monitoring.
